EA is up ahead with its plan to arrange a virtual soccer tournament featuring real footballers from big clubs. The FIFA 20 Charity tournament is titled ” Stay and Play Cup”. Electronic Arts is the second-largest gaming company in the US and Europe according to their revenue. Now in this lockdown, EA is taking a humanitarian responsibility to aid Corona Virus affected people and communities in need. This gaming giant will stream the “Stay and Play Cup” on its twitch channel from 15-19 April. EA is hoping to donate $1 million to Corona Virus aid.
According to EA’s official Twitter report, Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City will take part in this tournament. Many of the popular real-world football stars will face each other in virtual sports for a good cause. FIFA chief commercial officer Simon Thomas “We are not only committed to supporting coronavirus relief efforts but also bringing even more ways for football fans to engage with the sport they love in the coming weeks,”
Though this is not the first-time footballers are teaming up for Corona Virus charity yet this tournament may become the largest in response to COVID-19. Last month Michail Antonio and Ryan Sessegnon teamed up for charity match virtually. La Liga also held a match and Real Madrid won. They were able to raise $166,000 for Corona aid.
