Epic Games has announced that they will start a publishing initiative with Remedy Entertainment, Playdead, and Gen Design. Currently, developers at Epic Gemes, have full control over the intellectual property including their creative controls. Besides, they have also announced that developers will get 50/50 profit sharing. Epic has also confirmed that they will cover all the other expenses including salary, development cost, marketing, etc.
Gen Design is one of the leading and visionary studio run by experienced and developers and game designers. They released popular titles like Colossus and Ico, Fumito Ueda. Before this tie-up, they published the Last Guardian partnered with Sony in 2016. On the other hand, another partner Remedy Entertainment was behind the award-winning action game Control. The Control was also an exclusive PC game on Epic’s publishing platform.
Epic is working toward funding all these three visionary game studios and believes that they will have full creative control in the industry and will take future games in a new hight. Epic will fund all these creative developers and expecting a strong success in the next games.
