Blizzard Entertainment’s much-awaited new hero Echo is live from yesterday on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Echo is the last hero on Overwatch since the last update. As per the information, the Echo is a very adaptable hero that can gain power and feature of any other characters. This is also the 17th hero on Overwatch to be considered as a damaged character.
Blizzard announced this hero a few days ago with a little information. Though the introduction happened in the previous Overwatch Cinematics with Anna and Winston. Possessing the power of another enemy hero is just a normal characteristic of the Echo. This robotic character is also capable of ramping down shields of enemy tanks. It shares a lot of similarities on other popular heroes like Genji, Mercy, and Pharah
Now it also confirmed that Echo is the last hero of the standard Overwatch. There is confusion about the Overwatch 2 release date and it is not clear that if any new hero will be introduced on the next edition. Besides the game director has confirmed that some characters from Overwatch 2 will be on standard overwatch along with maps. Although the date is not confirmed for Overwatch 2, it will be released on Switch, PC, Play station 4 and Xbox One.
